From keyword searching to email threading, to concept clustering, technology has helped corporations and law firm lower review costs without sacrificing accuracy and defensibility.  A new innovation, predictive coding, promises to accelerate this evolution and further diminish the need for human oversight.  It’s an enticing opportunity, but is it a panacea?  In this article, the author examines three different matters and offer thoughts on the optimal balance of technology and human input for each situation.
